Lovely lake for a day trip at the beach. There water temperature is comfortable and the beach is fairly sandy. There are also 2 playgrounds that the kids love and huge grassy fields. Currently there is a swimmers itch warning, but we didn't actually notice a problem after our last visit

Beach is great, nice playgrounds and recreation areas, boats for rent, accessible washrooms. You can easily walk to the town from the campground. I will be going back for day use. The campground is very noisy with partying going on well into 3-4am, drunks stumbling through our site all night, beer cans and garbage strewn throughout sites, people ripping around in loud trucks at 2am. Park staff didn't appear to check our area once in a full long weekend stay. Sites had multiple vehicles and appeared to be over capacity, some sites up to 12 people overnight. Outhouses appeared to not have odor control. Showers are bare concrete no rubber antibacterial mats. Water lukewarm. Outlets in the shower room not working. Store staff charge a $3 fee for cash back on purchase. Firewood is $10. Overall it was a negative camping experience despite the awesome location. If this is what tourists see when they come to Alberta.......

Although quite busy as it is close to the city. It is a very well kept public beach and actually kind of nice having people to share the great weather with. We will definitely go again.

What a stunning lake. The beach is nothing special, but if you have a boat... The lake is worth the drive.

We take our kids here almost every weekend in the summer. Recommend going before noon to get a nice spot to sit in (plus the parking lot fills up after noon and they close it). Very well kept and most of the patrons there are respectable to others. Lots of little ones playing in the sand and along the shoreline of the beach. Lots of fun and will be back next weekend!
